Cloverdale Arts Alliance, call for entries: Cloverdale Annual Sculpture Exhibit
The Cloverdale Annual Sculpture Exhibit, produced by the Cloverdale Arts Alliance, returns to the Cloverdale downtown outdoor plaza, celebrating its 10th year. The Cloverdale Arts Alliance invites sculptors to submit proposals for three-dimensional art suitable for outdoor display for this juried exhibit. No entry fee.
Judges:
-Jennifer Bethke, art historian and art curator, who received her PhD in art history from UC Berkeley, curator of education at the Sonoma County Museum in Santa Rosa, CA.
-M.C.Carolyn, sculptor working in stone, bronze, and foam with epoxy coatings. She creates both large public art sculptures and gallery pieces.
-Spring Maxfield, art curator with a BA in both Art History and Fine Arts from Sonoma State University and an MA in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University, event planner and co-founder of the Handcar Regatta.
Three cash awards will be given, in recognition of Best of Show and Honorable Mention designations. Best of Show will receive $1,000, and the two Honorable Mentions will each receive $250. The designations will be announced and awarded during the opening reception. An exhibit brochure will be printed with information on each selected sculpture and will be available in the Plaza and on the Cloverdale Arts Alliance website. In addition, selected artists and their work will be included in publicity for the Exhibit.
