The mission of Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, located in Nebraska City, NE, is to support established and emerging writers, visual artists and composers by providing working and living environments that allow uninterrupted time for work, reflection and creative growth. Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts offers up to fifty juried residencies per year to working artists from across the country and around the world. Residencies are awarded to visual artists, writers, composers, interdisciplinary artists, and arts or arts education scholars. Application fee.
The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in Nebraska City, NE offers 2- to 8-week residencies year-round for writers, visual artists, and music composers. Housing, studio space, $100/week stipend are provided. Approximately 50 residencies are awarded per year. Two deadlines each year, March 1 for the following July through December; or September 1 for the following January through June. $35 application fee.
Apply for only one session at a time. When you indicate preferred dates on your application be sure they fall within the session for which you have applied.
Visual artists work in one of three studios, two of which are approximately 425 square feet and one that is 258 square feet. Onsite letterpress studio also available.
