The 26th Annual September Competition presented by the Alexandria Museum of Art (AMoA) is a national juried exhibition highlighting contemporary art practices in all media from around the country. Artworks selected by this year’s artist-juror, Stewart Nachmias, will be featured in an exhibition at Alexandria Museum of Art, located along the scenic Red River in the heart of central Louisiana, September 6th – November 23rd, 2013, and included in a full-color print catalogue. Total cash awards of $2,000 will be allocated to juror-designated award winners.
Eligibility and fees: Visual artists over age 18 working in all media, including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital art, video, textile art, and printmaking are invited to submit. All artworks MUST be original, created by the person who enters the competition, and completed in the last two years (2011 or later). Artists working in experimental media are encouraged to submit entries for judging. Non-refundable $35 entry fee for 2 entries, $20 per additional entry.

Submissions must be postmarked, emailed, or delivered by midnight on Friday, May 31st, 2013, to be eligible for consideration.
