Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens (FL), Call for Artists, Summer of Love: Reflections on Pulse

Deadline: March 1st, 2017

From their call: Summer of Love: Reflections on Pulse is a themed exhibition based around the concept of art transcending hate. This is your opportunity to comment on the one-year anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub Shooting. What moves and uplifts you? How do you visually interpret love or brotherhood? We want to see your interpretation on this event, but more importantly, we ask that submitted works have a message of hope, upliftment, and acceptance. Help us celebrate diversity and keep our community dancing!

The exhibit will run from Tuesday, May 9th – Sunday, September 3rd, 2017

You may submit up to three (3) works.

All art mediums accepted both 2D and 3D works. Media/and conceptual installation will also be considered. Collaborative works are welcome. Outdoor entries will also be considered, but please note how outdoor sculptures will installed safely on our grass lawn. Out-of-state submissions are encouraged, with the understanding the artists is responsible for the cost of shipping sculpture to and from the Museum.
