CHOICE AWARDS: The Choice Awards recognize outstanding photographers working in all processes and subject matter. Images can be singular or part of a series. The Awards are divided into four categories: Curator’s Choice, Editor’s Choice, Director’s Choice and a new category, The Producer’s Choice Awards. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT GRANT: The Project Development Grant offers financial support to fine art, documentary, or photojournalist works-in-progress. The grant includes a cash award to help complete a project as well as platforms for feedback and professional development opportunities for the work’s final stages. This grant is awarded to projects that are still in progress and have not been exhibited or published. It requires signing of a contract to participate in an exhibition during Review Santa Fe. 2019 Juror: Lucy Gallun, Associate Curator, Department of Photography, The Museum of Modern Art, New York Link
PROJECT LAUNCH GRANT: The Project Launch is granted to an outstanding photographer working on a fine art series or documentary project. The grant includes a cash award to help complete or disseminate the works, as well as providing a platform for exposure and professional development opportunities. This grant is awarded to complete or nearly completed projects that would benefit from the grant award package. It requires signature of a contract to participate in an exhibition during Review Santa Fe. 2019 Juror: Virginia Heckert, Curator, Department of Photographs, The J. Paul Getty Museum. Link
REVIEW SANTA FE: Review Santa Fe Photo Festival is the premier international juried portfolio review event. The festival features a number of ways to connect and engage through workshops, artist talks, and a special event honoring a photo luminary. Invited photographers receive nine formal portfolio reviews, receptions, access to artist talks and more. This special festival in the foothills of the Sangre De Cristo mountains has been called one of the most effective professional development programs for photographers. The reviewers and the Review Santa Fe 100 Photographers travel from around the world to take part in this prestigious juried portfolio review and are carefully chosen with their ability to offer actual opportunities as well as feedback. ME&EVE AWARD: In partnership with photographer and alum, Dorie Hagler, CENTER is pleased to offer a new $5,000 award for a female photographer, 40 years of age and over, who uses their camera to address social justice. We welcome submissions from transgender and non-binary individuals. Juror is Kathy Ryan, Director of Photography, The New York Times Magazine. Link
