Gallery Route One (CA), Call for Greater San Francisco Bay Area Artists: 2019 – 2020 Fellowships, with stipend

Deadline: April 20th, 2019

Fellowship Period: July 1st, 2019 – June 30th, 2020
Eligibility: Artists aged 21 to 40 yrs

Gallery Route One Fellowships offer artists an opportunity to be involved in the life of a working gallery, to have one solo exhibition and participate in group exhibitions and events during the fellowship year. Two Fellowships are awarded each year. Applicants are automatically entered for both. The Senior Fellow has a solo exhibition in the Center Gallery space and a $400 stipend to offset the associated costs for a postcard and hosting the reception. The Emerging Fellow has a solo exhibit in the Annex Gallery and receives a $200 stipend. Both Fellows have the opportunity to exhibit in member group exhibitions and in the Alcove Small Works gallery. The Senior Fellow is required to serve as gallery attendant once every 6 weeks. Both Fellows are expected to assist in one or two gallery chores. Both Fellows are required to attend 4 member meetings during the year. Fellows are invited to attend gallery receptions, talks and parties. Fellows are eligible for full gallery membership after their Fellowship year.
