Job- A Blade of Grass (NY): Director of Programs
A Blade of Grass is the first arts nonprofit solely dedicated to nurturing socially engaged art.
Founded in 2011, ABOG accomplishes this primarily through our Fellowship for Socially Engaged Art, a unique hybrid program that pairs philanthropic support with field research, web and print content, documentary films, and public programs that build audience and understanding for socially engaged art. The goals of the Fellowship are to give artists the financial support they need to thrive, while building audience, understanding, and advocacy for artists working in the context of everyday life.
ABOG is seeking a Director of Programs who can strategically direct an increasingly high profile ABOG Fellowship program and its attendant content and public programming. Salary range is $60-$75K based on previous experience. To apply, please send a cover letter and CV to firstname.lastname@example.org.

About: Our public programs examine the meaning, value, and challenges of socially engaged art. We provide resources to artists who demonstrate artistic excellence and serve as innovative conduits for social change. We evaluate the quality of work in this evolving field by fostering an inclusive, practical discourse about the aesthetics, function, ethics and meaning of socially engaged art that resonates within and outside the contemporary art dialogue.
