Job- Modesto Junior College (CA): Instructor of Art – Sculpture and Design, Tenure Track

The Arts, Humanities & Communications Division-Modesto Junior College has opened the position of Instructor of Art – Sculpture and Design, Tenure Track for recruitment. All full-time faculty are expected to participate actively in their disciplines, department activities, and the general intellectual life and governance of the college. Part of the teaching assignment may be online, in the evening, and/or on Saturdays. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Teaching lower division college courses in Art including Sculpture, 2-D Color and Design, and 3-D Color and Design.
• Oversee operation of sculpture studio including purchasing equipment, tools and supplies, coordinating with campus operations for facility maintenance.
• Advancing equitable student learning through dedicated, exemplary instruction in accordance with established course outlines.

Modesto Junior College, one of the oldest community colleges in the state, was organized in 1921 to serve the first junior college district established under a State Legislature Enabling Act.
