Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts (NE), Call for Applicants: 2020 Residency for Writers, Visual Artists, Interdisciplinary Artists, and Music Composers–with stipend

The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts awards up to seventy juried residencies per year to established and emerging visual artists, writers, composers, and interdisciplinary artists from across the country and around the world. Residencies are available for 2 to 8 weeks stays. Each resident receives a $100 stipend per week, free housing, and a private studio.
All residents are selected by a discipline-specific panel of professionals with decisions based on the quality of the proposal and the support materials submitted. Nebraska artists and those transitioning from graduate school receive special consideration by the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center. Each year, some residencies are reserved for these artists. A non-refundable application fee of $35 applies.

About: The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts is an ideal setting for working artists looking for a respite to concentrate on their work. Although originally built in 1969 as a luxury communal home for three prominent couples, the KHN Center has become a renowned artist residency program located in southeastern Nebraska.
