National Call for Submissions: 2019 Miami University Young Sculptors Competition (FL)

Year 2019: Non-Representational Sculpture only
Open to young Sculptors, U.S. residents, ages 25 – 35 as of competition entry are invited to participate in a biennial juried competition for the 2019 $10, 000 William and Dorothy Yeck Award. Entrants should have achieved a significant degree of success as an emerging artist of noteworthy talent. The winner will become part of the Miami University Young Sculptors of the Twenty-First Century Collection.
Juror: Don Desmett was Founding Director of Exhibitions for the Richmond Center for Visual Arts at Western Michigan University (2006-2016). From 2000 to 2004 Desmett was Director of Collections and Exhibitions at The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts (again as Interim Curator from 2018/19). He also served as Director and Curator of The Tyler Galleries at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia (1990-98).
Awards: $10,000 William and Dorothy Yeck Purchase Award

$2,000 Third Place
