Sacramento Fine Arts Center & Watercolor Artists of Sacramento Horizons (CA), Call for Artists: Awash With Color!

From their call: Watercolor Artists of Sacramento Horizons/WASH is a nonprofit corporation affiliated with the Sacramento Fine Arts Center. Its purposes are to improve, promote, and provide an art oriented educational service to the Sacramento region, to share our common love of the watercolor medium with the community, and to promote the creative growth of our members within the organization.
Media: Any water-based medium, either transparent or opaque is acceptable. These include transparent watercolor, tempera, casein, gouache, color inks and acrylics. Acrylic paint should be clearly diluted and transparent. Acrylics done in an impasto manner are not eligible. Mixed media may be used, but water-based media must be predominant.
Juror: Dan Petersen received his Master of Arts degree in watercolor from San Jose State University and has been teaching watercolor and drawing at the college level for over 40 years. Dan is a popular lecturer, judge and a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the National WatercolorSociety. He has participated in countless competitive shows winning many honors including top statewide and national awards. He has held over 50 one man shows and numerous group exhibits.
