From their call: It’s time for Tieton Arts & Humanities’ annual call for small artwork! Now in its 8th year, 10x10x10xTieton asks artists from all over the world to submit works no larger than 10 inches x 10 inches x 10 inches. All exhibited works are published in a fully illustrated, hand bound exhibition catalog, made right here in Tieton. Every accepted artists gets one free copy.
Eligibility: Everyone! No geographic limits. All entries must be of original design and personal execution.
Media: All media welcome. Works must be original and made within the previous three years.
Submission Fees: $30 for first two submissions. $10 for each additional artwork. Minimum two submissions required. Submit only one JPEG per artwork.
Exhibition Dates: August 12th – October 8th, 2017 at the Mighty Tieton Warehouse in Tieton, Washington. Opening Reception: Saturday, August 12th, 2017.
Jurors: Lloyd Herman was the founding director of our national craft museum, the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art museum and, after 20 years at the Smithsonian returned to the Northwest. Gia Hamilton serves as the Joan Mitchell Center Director, an artist residency program of the Joan Mitchell Foundation in New Orleans; which acts as a place based, community centered incubator for visual artists, curators and arts professionals to connect with each other and the larger community. In addition, she is an independent curator where she most recently co-curated the Atlanta Biennial in 2016.
Catalogue: Each accepted entry will be featured in a fully illustrated, handbound, hardcover catalogue of the exhibit. Each accepted artist will receive one copy of the catalogue.
