University of Central Oklahoma, Woody Gaddis Gallery, National Call for Entries, Modern Tribalism: Polarization and the Social Connect/Social Disconnect

Deadline: August 26th, 2018

The Woody Gaddis Gallery, on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma, seeks entries for the juried photographic exhibition entitled Modern Tribalism. Modern tribes organize around common ideologies. Take religion, political parties, and sports teams for example. The term suggests an irrational loyalty to one group. While seeking to connect with people who think alike, it may disconnect people from humanity as a whole. We invite artists to submit work which embraces, fights against, or questions modern tribalism through photography. No entry fee.

Jurors: Professor of Photography Jesse L. Miller
Assistant Chair/Associate Professor Mark Zimmerman
Manager of Photo Labs Angela Cejda Mackey
